in North America. Two of the dealers I stay in touch with, contacted me late last week to say that they got confirmation that such a package will be offered. Pricing around $2900 is projected. Exact date of production has not been indicated. They report that there is also some question since the car shown on the dealer fax is a 3.0, but the rest of their information is for the 1.8t. Whether is is for one or the other - or both - is unkown, since they have not received the revised order guides yet. Unless installed locally ( very unlikely ), we'll see a 4 month delay from the time the revised order guides are sent to dealers, and the time the cars actually arrive.
I hope to get a copy of the dealer fax tomorrow, and will post all the details I can get as soon as I do.

Hi, I am a current owner of a B6 1.8T and so far I am sold for life on Audi. But I have a couple of things I'd like to bring up about your future...One, please don't follow BMW's styling. Two, what sort of information can you share on a so called "UltraSport" package coming to North America? Any information you can share will be greatly appreciated.

He treated it as a done deal, which was not the case until very very recently. Some general managers around the country where polled as to whether they thought it was an idea worth pursuing. Apparently the manager at his dealer leaked that info. No hard confirmation from AoA was available prior to late last week. The salespeople and managers I asked, didn't know anything like this even existed until late in the week, or indicated there were several proposals being floated with no confirmed outcome.
Of course we don't know what the manager at his dealer told him, but without hard evidence, even the most enthusiastic Audi head has to be sceptical.
