Default V1 report (long)

I've had my V1 for 2 months now. It has not saved me yet, so it is kind of hard to know whether it is working. I have seen lots of cruisers, but have received very few alerts. So far, I attribute this to the fact that they were either using instant on or the guns were off. I wish I had confirmation that it was working!

One amazing thing. I was nearing an approach ramp that is notorious for being a trap. I received three blasts from the laser warning. I was pissed because I was convinced it was falsing. But, sure enough, I got on the ramp and saw three(!) cruisers had pulled over 3 cars. Not bad.

Default Happy with my purchase, a few install pics....

Got busted on a back road I dirve all the time a few weeks ago, so I got a V1.Since then, I have been amased just how sensative the device is, it has definately helped me out a few times.

The install was easy, finding a good fuse to feed off took the longest for me. I mounted mine just under the rear view mirror and ran the cable up the housing, under the headliner and down the pillar. The Headliner is easy to pull open a little and psuh the cable into. I had some issue with the pillar. I pushed the cable through at the dash, and worked back up to the headliner using the corner of a comb.

Then I used the fuse for the homelink controls. The V1 turns on/off with the ignition. I mounted the accessory pulg just above the fuse box, there is plenty of room. I would up cuttinf then end of the red wire and wrapping it around the fuse, then inserting the fuse back into the panel.

I have to say, i'm happy with the results. I can't wait for the tripcomp guys to get the intregration with the center cluster working. Let me know if you have any questions.
