Didn't take pictures of the process, but I figured someone might be interested in what I did take. I'm sure I took off too much stuff, but I'm treating it like a neu-S4 belt job till the bentley shows up.
Car is a $395 87 5000S with 296k miles and a unknown maintinance record. Runs great, no smoke. Car had no coolant when I test drove it, poor baby. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It'll be educational if you could take pictures of each step. Could be classic for all future generation Audifans. (future generation ? I said ? Hehehehe)

Looks like the car took a slight hit to the pass side at some point, nothing major, but the bumper shock was bent a bit and when I took off the front cross member the frame rail moved in about an 1/8".. Look at the frame rail to fender support on the pass side, see where the bumper hit it?
I can measure the holes in the front crossmember, it seems undamaged. |

Need to wrap up my camera a bit so I can use it with greasy hands.
Getting the car to this point is the easy part, just keep looking for hidden screws and bolts when parts won't come off. The car has really cool quick release zip ties, so don't cut them. 10mm and 13mm sockets and wrenches, a allen wrench of some size and a phillips screwdriver got me this far. |

The Bentley Manual has all the proper (major) dimensions for straightening the frame of a Type44, sedan or wagon.
Also, the paper bentley for the 80/90/CQ has a similar section. Its towards the back...
