Default Rolled over 275000km yesterday, loving every minute of it...

"The first round has begun over areas north of the lower Great Lakes and will begin this evening across eastern Ontario and ski country. The Niagara Peninsula has already received about 9 cm. Snow may become light and more intermittent overnight into Saturday morning. The heaviest snowfall is then expected in the second round beginning Saturday afternoon in the southwest and Saturday evening over eastern Ontario. Keep in mind that the snowfall duration will be about 36 hours but the heaviest snow will be Saturday afternoon into the evening.

Storm totals will likely be 30 to 40 centimetres along and east of a line from St Thomas to Barrie then to Petawawa. There is potential for 40 to 50 centimetres of snow over the Niagara Peninsula and parts of Haliburton Highlands into Pembroke. Areas west of the St Thomas to Petawawa line should see between 10 to 20 centimetres with lesser amounts near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. With the warm front just to the south of the St Lawrence Valley they may expect ice pellets Saturday afternoon. Behind this system strong northerly winds to 70 km/h are likely."

I think that might actually keep my all-road height car at home. We're just getting over a 20cm dump from a couple of days ago and now 30-50 more!? that's eff-ing mad.

I'm loving my new winter tires. Didn't have much choice considering I needed them THAT day. Got a decent price on some 225/50/16 toyo garit kx. Notable improvement all around over my 50% tread ultra-grips.

Default Sigh...

I guess as long as somebody is using it, I'm happy. I love that parts from my cherished one are spread throughout the community. As of this afternoon, my new car even got an organ donation when I replaced the split turbo-to-crossover hose with one I had left over from my '93.

Anyway, enjoy the travertine in good health. Of course, if something were to happen to your car...you know where to find me. ;-)

Cheers,

Jimmy

Default He's just got it hoarded.

Minus the driver's seat.

The rest of it is in his Rossatobin.

Default I would love to.

But without the driver's seat, the remainder is fairly worthless. I could see it as a basis for a recover, but that would be about it.

Default weather update... quattro ftw

"40 to 50 centimetres of snow have already been reported over the Niagara Peninsula and portions of eastern Ontario including Ottawa by 11 PM. Eastern Ontario will see an additional 15 to 25 centimetres tonight. Areas west of the London to Petawawa line should see between 10 and 20 centimetres with lesser amounts near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. Regions located near the St Lawrence Valley could see ice pellets mixed with the snow overnight.

Strong northerly winds with gusts up to 70 km/h are accompanying this storm. The strong winds combined with fresh snow is causing blowing snow and whiteout conditions thereby creating dangerous driving conditions. The winds will slowly diminish in strength overnight.

Ontario provincial police in the upper Ottawa Valley and Northumberland have resorted to snowmobiles for transportation. Travellers should be prepared to change their plans accordingly."

haha, police have resorted to snowmobiles!
