Default so I finally wired up my horn

I was getting sick of giving people a strong look....a horn is necessary or the all hailed Chicago salute.

So this is what I did. Used the old ring some new wire, solder, and a 14g connector, bingo! Figured I'd take some pics.

Default nice....why did you remove the metal tab on the back? Do your blinkers manually reset?

Default sure they do

this is actually a UrS4 wheel. It has a horn just needs to be modified to beep. See the stock wheel uses a setup where from the column there is a spring loaded connection that then makes contact with a circular contact pad(pictured in my original post), from the circular pad, the wire then runs inside the wheel. Once the wire is inside the wheel (on both stock and S2/RS2/UrS4 and probably all wheels to my knowledge) the contact is made current when you press down allowing the circuit to be completed.

See the problem is that the S2/RS2/UrS4 wheel has the spring loaded conector on the wheel itself vs. being on the column. So a contact position needs to be made.

This is actually only a temporary thing for me. I am getting a new hub with a canceling tab for the wheel, so once I get that I will then make a real ring that is more attached. This ring from my stock wheel is just positioned on there. Once I get my new hub I will drill two small screws to stabilize the ring around the hub bore.

Default Use "L" angle piece, small screws and a Dremel = no more finger action.
