Default Bose Symphony intermittent sound??

Hey guys,

My B6 came with the bose symphony sound package and i've been noticing that when it's really hot outside (ie above 85-90) that the sound coming from the speakers is REALLY strange. It will be at a quiet volume like level 3, and then get really loud (sounds like a 5 or 6) and then goes up and down, in and out from low to high volume. At first i thought maybe it was a poor radio signal, but tried the CD player and discovered it was all audio. Oh and this is when I start the car and drive for maybe the first 15 mins or so, unless its very hot outside. Seems to correct itself when I turn up the volume past level 5/6. Loose connection? Amp going bad? Looking for ideas, since this really only happens when the weather is hot. Thanks in advance.

Default Comon issue in 2004 B6 with Bose

The fix is to replace the Bose amp to get update firmware or apply the TSB to disable the AudioPilot.

Default AudioPilot?

Wow. Thanks for the quick response! Audiopilot meaning the auto-level adjustment (you go faster, it gets louder)? Is this something the dealer will cover since its a known TSB?

Default It's noise driven, not speed driven

Dealer may do the TSB but it's better to get the amp replaced to keep Bose working as it should.
