Default FMIC installed, finally!

Spearco IC, Core is 3" thick, 20" long, 6" high
2.5" inlet and outlets.

Bought it off of ebay a while ago, very similar to this Ebay IC

I bought two 2.5" mandrel bent U-bends and one 2" U-bend from JCWhitney, approx $60.

2" pipe comes off the compressor, goes down, and angles out towards the bumper to a 2" to 2.5" adapter ($20), then 2.5" bend to the IC to 2.5" coupler ($5), then IC and another coupler ($5) to 90 bend in, 90 bend up to a 2.5" hump hose ($20) to a ~45 bend towards the TB, to two more couplers ($10) into the TB.

Topped off with Hose Techniques T-bolt hose clamps ($6.50 each x 13)

So total cost is about $600, including shipping charges.

I welded 3 tabs on the IC, 2 top, 1 bottom, then made some brackets out of 1" wide aluminum strips

Click on any pic for a larger view.

You can see how tight it is here with the MAF shoved in there also. I had to bend the AC lines down to make more room.

Showing the brackets and initial piping layout

Couple of front shots. Looks like my bumper is tweaked a little, I'll have to find out why.....

This is where my MAF will be going, where the short section of pipe is:

You better stop posting stuff like this =P. Because all your tweaks want me to spend money I don't have. For example, I really feel like buying a 2.0L ABA engine off of ebay and building it up piece by piece in my garage after looking at your 2.0L conversion. So, in short, keep doing cool stuff even if it makes me want to spend more money.

Default Nope, it's gone...

it was just in the one pic because I hadn't got around to pulling it out yet, I was just working on the mounts.

Default Yep....

I can't imagine it's much worse than having the MAF next to a hot turbo.

It's not the stock MAF, it's made to handle blow-thru applications.

If it can handle non-intercooled supercharged mustangs, I'm sure it will be fine in my car
