tcarbon 180 quattro downpipe install (test fit)
Step 1: Romove old downpipe and cat section. Easiest way is to use a blow torch to get all the bolts off of the dual cat section. If your cats are not that rusty try using some PB blaster and a wrench.

Used a socket wrench and an extention to romove bolts off the downpipe studs. Bolts came right off with a little strength put into it. Then just twist and turn the stock downpipe until you can slide it out.

new gasket into place

Slide in and position new downpipe, connect O2 sensor(actually went in easier than the old dp came out)

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/105105/o2_connect.jpg">
Lastly, connect testpipe at both ends and complete!

Install time just under 3 hours, would have been less but we were low on gas for the torch.
Fitment is really good, the only rubbing I have noticed is at a really low rpm while in reverse. I haven't herd it rub for a couple days now at all. There is definitely a difference in sound and performance(more so with the sound). Wont really know how much performance til I can get to the track and make a run. This is my only performance upgrade since my last 1/4 mile. Anyways back to the sound, the turbo spool is louder and exhaust is a little louder as well. With the stock cat back still on its almost like my motor got louder and not my exhaust.
If anyone has any questions let me know, kinda just threw all these thoughts down.

You need to upgrade your exhaust.
Is that a 2 1/4" exhaust you have that 3" dp/tp trying to flow into? I'll bet that if you upgrade to a 2 3/4" or 3" cat-back you'll get better results in terms of both sound and power.

just a tad smaller actually ;)
for testing purposes it's fine since all aftermarket exhausts are made to route to the oem post-cat location. also, for what it's worth, i have a list of people wanting one without performance in mind - a lot of flex-pipes have failed lately and there is no option out there for 180 quattro folks, other than OEM, which is costly.
