Default Opinions wanted: A8 brakes or Bilsteins...

Which will give me more "performance joy?"

But first consider this:
My goal has always been to keep my car looking fairly stock (I know that's boring for some of you) -- see my list of mods below -- so I won't be getting larger wheels to accommodate Stoptechs or Brembos. Also consider that I'll probably keep my OEM sport springs. TIA.

Default 17's rims really do bring more pleasure to driving.

Default If you plan on taking it to the track, do the brakes. If not, do the shocks first.

Default Look - I hated the winter when I had to put the 16" stock rims on with snow tires

Last year I got a set of used 17s and used snows.

Before I got the 17's I was taking risks of putting the 16" snows on at the last moment and champing at the bit to take them off in March as soon as I could risk it.

Now I enjoy the 17s so much I don't worry about leaving them on - and last spring it paid off as we got a 100yr storm in April. I would have been on my 17's /performance tires by then normally.
