Pictures of my Glovebox fix as requested
When my glovebox broke maybe 2 months ago, I did this fix based on GeTT da NeTT's earlier post.
I bought a packet of socket screws and speed nuts from Home Depot

I chose to use a socket screw as the replacement pin b/c of the fact that it does not have a head. You can screw these in using a socket key wrench.

The speed nuts are probably optional, I chose to use it so that I would have a metal thread for the socket screw for extra support.

I drilled a hole using a 9/64th inch bit through the spot where the plastic hinge once resided. I then screwed the socket screw in using a socket key. I kept the screwable end on top, so that I could adjust the depth of the screw easily after putting the glove box latch back in. (Make note that when replacing the latch, you place the internal spring properly.) Obviously, if you are replacing the bottom hinge you'd have to make the height adjustment before putting the glove box latch back in.

After you are done placing the latch and adjusting the screw's depth be sure to test everything.

Sure I posted as a reponse to this post>>>
The plastic hinge that the latch rotates on was broken. The author of the post I'm linking to included some pictures of the plastic hinges further down in the thread.

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1416399.phtml</a

i fixed mine with no a small bolt, i didn't use the bracket type thing you had...
so no damage was ever visible. for length i just used an angle grinder until I got it to the right length. Good fix
