Im looking at a SMG 2001 225 quattro TT with 44,000 miles on it. Its at a dealership, and I want an idea on what to look at when I drive it. Its looks really good from the pictures.
The dealership wants 19900 for it. What would you pay? Any opinions are appreciated! thanks |

If it's a 2001 225 it'll have a 6 speed manual gearbox.
Make sure all the scheduled maintenance has been done and ask for records.

Don't expect super tight suspension on bumps- OEM shocks are shot.
Car should accelerate Briskly, no vibration in wheel at any speed - get to 85 mph for sure, track straight, see what tyres are on since they won't be originals... That's a start - it should only take you a few minutes to fall in love - we all did !!
