Default Week-end in Downieville - bike rack & more (BWW)

We just spent a really fun week-end in Downieville, the "downhill mountain biking Mecca", which is somewhere in NorCal (close to Lake Tahoe), about 3 hours from San Francisco:

Here are some pictures the Thule bike rack attachments (had bought them for my GTI) that goes on top of the standard Audi roof rack (which I bought from ECStuning.com):

snapping away while filling up.. saves time ;-)

I had to buy this blue fork adapter for my bike which has a "through-axle" for the front wheel:

The bikes' shadows, looks like they are going 80 mph!

This is the lodge (cabins, really) where we stayed, right next to the Yuba river:

..and a few action shots of the downhill ecstasy:

More can be found on my website

Enjoy!
-Marc

Default Two things...

1, nice pic of the TT and log cabins...I like that.

2, I hoe you didn't get back in the car all dirty from riding!

and an unannounced 3, looks like a nice trip! Downhilling is so much fun! (Is downhilling a word?)

Default Re: Two things...

1. Thanks, those cabins were actually really nice..

2. Of course not! took showers before riding home. We were so dirty with mud & sweat, I didn't even walk into the grocery store!

3. It was awesome! downhilling is probably not a word, but should definitely be added to the Oxford.. with a big grinning face next to it :-)
