Default I know the new lotus has the same engine as the celica...did they increase the torque in the exige?

the celica GT-S/GT-S Action Package makes 180hp and 130lb/ft torque!!

I dont know much about its competitors, but 130lb/ft seems a little anemic. I guess w/ 2500+ lbs to lug around you dont need too much torque?

Default The Exige S2 is up to 189hp and 133lb ft... Torque isn't everything, it still does 0-60 in under 5

Default Actually there are some diffs in the Lotus version>>>>

Lotus designed intake, CAI, exhaust header and exhaust and a Lotus ECU...all good for a 190hp in a car weighing 1900 lbs (Elise)

Says it's a tight fit for two. Would be a fun toy not for touring.

Default true, but I thought that in this day and age, torque and hp ratings are usually...

within 10% of one another. Is there a benefit to designing engines w/ a hp/torque disparity? ...gas mileage?

can the Lotus use TRD products? just curious...
