Default Already ran a search... no luck: rear hatch lights are sluggish...

On cooler days the lights take a good minute or so to come on after opening the hatch. If I tap my fist next to the latch, the lights will come on, but not on the first try. Any suggestions?

Thanks alot!

Default The one on the left in the trunk? Pop it out & make sure the bulb

is seated properly.

Default If not bulb, then micro switch on trunk lock is bad...

Lights in rear hatch are controlled by a micro-switch on the trunk lock solenoid. Sounds like the trunk latch mirco-switch is/has gone bad. They'll have to replace the trunk lock part number 8N0-827-505-C. It should be covered under warrantee.

Default Thanks guys. I think that's the problem, Gotto <more>

See, both bulbs in the hatch enclosure come on at the same time, eventually. Should have said that in the first post.

Default Yes. Sounds like the micro switch is the culprit.
