Great sunny weather and ended up getting up to 240-250kmph a few times and then on the last day on the way to the airport... a wide open straight stretch and bam! 270kmph for a few seconds and coasting back down. It actually seemed smoother and less dangerous since the road was 3/4 lanes instead of the other areas with just 2 lanes and less likely of having to lay on the brakes when someone changes out of slow lane to pass somone. There was even a 5 series that was hanging with me. It had to be an m5 to keep up.
Also had some fun with following 2 ferraris and another 911 the day before. They might have been there for the formula 1 races going on in the area. It was nice as they would get the slow cars out of the way and downshift a few gears and take off. The 911 would stay with them for the most part between 140 to 230kmph. We even went an extra 40km out of our way to stay cruising behind them. I will post some pictures when I get a chance. ![]() Reading material left by avis
![]() A2 at dealer in germany
Following ferraris - dark blue 911 is our rental ![]()
![]()
![]()
![]() 256kmph - very fast! |

I was in Athens Greece and rented a VW while I was there for the evening. Thay asked me if I had an international drivers license before they handed me the keys. Didn't know if it is required everywhere in Europe or just in a few countrys. Enjoyed the pics a lot. Thanks. -Doug

It's almost like, what's the point? But I suppose you might need it just in case they ask you for it.
