Default Dieselgeek install from modshack NW

So about a week ago I got the Dieselgeek short shifter installed(Thanks Brad!!) and thought it was about time to post the results.
Install is relatively painless, you need to remove the airbox to get access to the shifter mechanism but that's it. The old shifter came out pretty easily and the DG is a simple replacement, since it is made from OEM parts there really aren't any tricks to it.
We missed one minor detail on the adjustment step, the locking pin on the transmission itself. This left me with a very confused gearbox, didn't have reverse and the overall feel of the shifter was horrible. Oh, one other thing about the adjustment process. We started off the install with the car in 4th. After getting the DG installed it looked like the shifter was in neutral but it was still in 4th. This is ok, once you finish the adjustment everything will be sorted out
Anyway, results are excellent! You need to use a little bit more effort to shift but it's more effort in a good way. It feels more solid and direct. Throws are shorter and there is no notchiness at all. Shifting back and forth between 3rd and 4th is a blast. Oh, under hard acceleration I can now consistently trip ESP when shifting to 2nd, that never used to happen before.
For some pics of the install check out the link below.

Default Well, when I shift from 1st to 2nd under hard acceleration I see the ESP light blink...

I'm assuming this means that ESP is detecting some wheel slip and is cutting in. ESP does not seem to be malfunctioning, I think I'm just keeping the revs up higher between shifts. At least, I hope that's what it is

Default I'm very satisfied with it too!!! Needs a little more effort to cycle between shifts, but >>

that's ok. At the beginning I though that it was a problem, but then I was accustomed. :-)
