Default ttdude's stupid Friday poll #11: parallel universe

In a *horrible* parallel universe, where the TT was never created, what car are you driving?

Self-answer: probably a Boxster that I can barely afford

Last week's results (one mod) - a wide range of results with not much overlap, except for the dreams of WAY more powerful engines.

Congratulations to PaTT on his "too much information" award! What award(s) will I get to give out this week?

"Hey, wait a second. We drive German cars and we're eating at a German restaurant..."
-- the dude has a case of the stupids, 20 JUL 2002

Vincent: "So what you gonna do?"
ttdude: "Well, basically, I'm just gonna walk the earth."
Vincent: "What you mean 'walk the earth'?"
ttdude: "You know, like Kane in 'Kung Fu'...go places...meet people...get in adventures..."
Vincent: "For how long?"
ttdude: "As long as it takes."
Vincent: "As long as it takes for what?"
ttdude: "Until God puts me where he wants me to be."
Vincent: "So you decided to be a bum?"
ttdude: "I'll just be The Dude, Vincent...no more...no less..."

Default I am toying with the idea of going retro....back to my roots.

I would really like to have an A1 Cabriolet, swap in a 1.8T maybe even try a Stg 3 on it. Can you say 300+hp in a 2K lbs car? Nice!

Default This:

My previous ride. Good for living in when you're really broke. Note cardboard on floor to catch leaking tranny fluid.

Default agree with Sean, my 2 choices would be

1. MK1 GTi (rabbit) with VR6 Turbo
2. MK2 GTi Ralle (wide arch 4WD) HPA Twin Turbo engine & brain transplant - mmmmm
