Default Do you want to sell the wheels separately? I like those and have been looking for some.

Default The safest SUV is a wagon..Try Audi Allroad, BMW 540i Touring, E320 wagon, Saab 9-5 Aero Sportwagon

Contrary to popular belief, SUVs aren't the safest things on the road. They're miserable for accident avoidance.

If you are set on an SUV, go with the X5 4.6i (or more reasonably priced 4.4i). It's probably the most car-like of the offerings.

Just my humble opinion.

-Eric

P.S. How much for the wheels? Email me if you're intersted in selling them separately.

Default Don't get an SUV!

First, You have one child? Why do you need a car that will seat five? Maybe once you have your third kid. Also, you don't need five feet of cargo space for one kid--no matter how many groceries you buy.

Second, SUV "Safety" is a myth. SUVs are not required to have the same safety features as passenger cars. Entertainingly enough, one place where they're allowed to slack is roof strength. And when you figure that they roll over easier, you'd expect to have a tougher roof. Also, as I understand it, an SUV's ladder-frame design means that the stress of an accident, rather than being absorbed by the frame like it is in a car (via crumple zones, etc) is instead transmitted to the passengers in the vehicle.

Finally, consider the gas mileage. A 2002 Range Rover gets 12 mpg city and 15 mpg highway. Check it out at www.fueleconomy.gov. If you need a reason to keep the TT, figure that you'll save a little over $800/yr (and, since you're in California, probably more) in gasoline costs. That'll buy a lot of diapers...

You're obviously a smart guy (or you wouldn't have bought a TT :^) Continue to be smart and buy yourself a nice mid-size sedan or a station wagon.
