... although there were three of them, I could see that only one of them was in his car, who came after me. The cop flashed his lights the moment he had a visual on me - they couldn't have timed me *after* they saw me, because I came out of a bend behind a hill. So, the cop just saw me "appear", and he flashed his lights. I don't think the other cops were even involved. It has to be radar (which would work "behind a hill"), or it's just this cop's grasp of particle physics, because he seemed to know that "flashy little cars" always "go fast", and you can tell the speed by looking at the car :-(
Damn! I should have asked him to show me a radar reading if he had any. Regards Amit |

and, if he/she did, they have to note that on the ticket. it's possible that you got timed/radared by cop set A and then they radio down to the cop that "he's a comin yer way" and then by the time
the cop has a positive visual, matching description, without hesitation, the lights are on. I'm thinking "To wit:" means "To witness:" witness meaning other cops.

"To wit"! That is, "namely", or something like that ... at least that's what the dictionary says.
Anyway, I think you're right - I should fight it :-) Maybe I can begin by trying to find a "professional" in that area, although I don't know how much lawyers charge for this thing. I live about 300 miles away from that court - I don't know how many tickets I would get if I drive there again to fight it out :-P BTW, there seem to be entire businesses out there who deal with just this type of thing. God! Regards Amit |

... the drive was a loop through snow covered mountains and trees and stuff, and if it was an aircraft, I really failed to notice (of course!) ...
I really should have asked him how exactly he figured out my speed :-( Amit |

I'm assuming that the front of his car was facing you when you encountered him...the term "SFR" (as opposed to "MFR" for moving front RADAR) is pretty standardized. I have no clue what the ".........600" means. Hope this helps.

The front of his car was indeed facing me when he started to flash his lights.
Thanks a lot for this insight. Regards Amit |

I got tickets for running a stop sign and not having a seat belt on. Neither was true. Cop writes 99 VW Wagon on my ticket. I go to court and plead not guilty. Judges says guilty on stop sign and not guilty on seatbelt. Cop changes his story in court, even though I provided detailed accounts of the event in an email 2 hours after the ticket.
Cop couldn't get car correct. Lied about where he was. Got caught lieing about seat belt because I brought pictures showing how you could not see seat belt in TT. You could have been going 45mph and you would still have gotten the ticket. When they want you, they will always win.
