Jenner,
Would you be able to tell me where I could find pics of a stock TT 225 K04 turbo & exhaust down pipe? Preferably some views of the turbo installed, and some with the turbo off the car. I would like to know how they are configured prior to ordering the wrong parts. I already have a new 225 exhaust manifold, and as you had mentioned, it isn't compatible with any of the transverse K04 kits out there. So, before I go and order a Factory 225 K04, I want to be sure that it will work for me. I am upgrading my Passat B3 Syncro in which I have already installed a transverse 1.8T with K03. Since the Syncro drivetrain resembles the TT Quattro in design, many of the TT parts may work for me with little fabrication.

Would you be able to confirm if the factory 225 K04 has lower flow potential than any of the K04 kits?

Thanks,
Les Burt

Default Re: I mean US version 225 exhaust manifold and Euro version 225 manifolds are the same..

I found part of my answer by studying the Etka EPC. The longitudinal turbos may RESEMBLE the TT 225 K04 turbo, but the bolt patterns are slightly different in size, preventing them from bolting up to the TT 225 EM. The interesting fact that I have learned is that the TT 225 does use a different configuration than the TT 180. just look at the image above.

Thanks,
Les
