I finally admitted to myself that the Black and Decker spacesaver coffee maker makes one bitter cup of joe. I could not make it better. It makes no logical sense to me, as cofeemakers are simple devices so I kept drinking it.
I had almost stopped drinking coffee. Last night my wife and I had just finished dinner and she suggested we have a cup of decaf. So I made some and fixed myself a cup. It was horrible and I bitched about it. She would not taste my cup since she can't stand Sweet N Low so I made one to her liking. Basically, she said "What is wrong with this coffee?" It's the Peet's and is relatively fresh, so it ain't the coffee. So, I realized that it wasn't my imagination. I called it $50.00 wasted and went out to buy another Krups, like my old one that made good tasting coffee. I ended up with a Braun, as the manager at Bed Bath and Beyond said he gets a lot of Krups returned and personally likes the taste of coffee in the Braun better. Well, the verdict is in. The coffee tastes good again. No bitterness at all. Peet's + Braun = good coffee. I'm going to have a second cup and watch TV with my wife..
