I know that this question may seem a little unusual to ask about the TT, but has anyone out there been successful in using a child seat in the back seat? If so, what seat did you use and did you have to do anything special to make everyone reasonably comfortable? I'd like to be able to take a two-year old on at least short trips.

i have 2 kids and put them both in the back but you need to put the child seat...not a toddler seat in back passenger side seat and move the passenger seat up as far as you can. if someone needs to sit there then they suffer (read my wife does not like this setup as she is the one suffering). otherwise its no go.
my 3 1/2 year old sits behind me with no seat as she is tall enough to not need a toddler seat and move my seat as far forward as i can stand to comfortably drive. READ SHORT TRIPS ONLY FOR SANITY SAKE!!

It's a good question. Before I bought my 00 TTQ, I fitted the seat at the dealer showroom. I use a Century Encore for my two year-old, and as mentioned, you must move the passenger seat all the way forward as well as incline the seat forward. This leaves plenty of room for your child, but very little for someone up front. Beware though, not all car seats will fit. Hope this helps. -Jeff

I was disappointed to read two of the replies that said carseats fit in the back
BUT only when the front seat is WAY UP, etc. I thought I heard opinions contrary to those on this forum months ago, so I guess I'll have to go down to the dealer with a carseat or two. (Yeah, sure, like I can actually find a dealer that has a coupe sitting on the lot!.. NOT!) Anyway, go to the URL below, and find the "child seat" link there. You'll see info about the ISOFIX system, and eventually you will even find the Porsche "ZOOM" car seat and many others. [ haven't even ordered my TT... YET! ]

we have a fisher price seat that fits...do not have exact model number with me but it works. Again, i preface this with the seat forward statement as we have done this a couple of times (only had the car a week so i am new).
not trying to contradict anyone, but it works for us. BTW- getting the seat into the back is not much fun either.....good luck and do try it out. this setup may not work for you are your family.

and asked them to let me take them out to the car and try them. I found one that works and looks ok. I think it was about $75.
