My A/C is blowing out a really strong musty smell when first starting...a wet burlap/canvas smell. It lasts for only a minute or so, but its very noticable and embarassing with passengers.
Is there anything I can do to neutralize this smell?

I thought maybe my kids had stuffed a sock under one of the seats, but I haven't found any 'hidden treasure' yet.
Do you have the solar sunroof? On very hot days I get into my car and notice the smell with the air circulating from the vents, even before I turn the car on. Thank goodness the smell clears up pretty quickly after the A/C kicks in.
