Immobilizzer Fault

Had a problem with my A8 yesterday, the car would start then cut out and the immobilizer symbol was flahing on the dashboard. The fault sorted itself out so I got home and plugged vag-com in. I got the following fault code:

Address 01
Controller 4D0 907 557 J
Component 4,2L V8/4V MOTR AT D01
Coding 04263
Shop# WSC 00000
1 Fault found
17978 Engine start blocked by immobilizer
P1570-35-10 Intermittent
Readiness N/A

Can anyone help, I have now cleared the code but how do I go about fixing the problem?
