Just got my S8 today

picked up a 2001 ming blue S8 today with 357 miles on it , which I put about 350 on while test driving it five times in the last three weeks. Had to be sure you know....thanks for all the info I received in this forum...I will enjoy being part of this group

you said babying the motor? well i drove the **** out of it during the test drives...and my experience with porsches...of which I've had four now, is that these engines can really take it...tolerances are incredible out of the box... synthetic oil, bench testing the motors before we see the vehicles etc, not to mention the great warranties...just got back from a ride..this S8 rocks..now I have to order the Dunlop M3's from tire rack to go on my avus wheels..later...

BTW, I did assume that your 300+ test drive miles were probably on the enthusiastic side.

I just picked mine up yesterday. Black on black. I just stopped home to grab a few things and then back out for another ride. This is more fun than my porsche.
