Default Bah! need a new battery soon and have to clean out the evap drain, plus my window lock semi works...

i started noticing that my battery level now hits tiny below 12 and the car cranks like it has a dead battery. i thinking it is because of the heat. happened last time where we were hiting 100 degree weather and my battery died from overheat. it charges up after the drive but dies... POS battery i guess. and guess what i found still... water in the rear seat passenger carpet. looks like the the drain is clogged. now i know it is under the front passenger carpet. but is there a easier way to clean this out and/or some type of preventive maintenance to keep this working normally? plus i notice all of the sudden my widow lock switch doesn't work correct, (obviously) it stays locked but if i unlock it still doesn't allow people in the back to roll down the window unless i hold down on the switch....any suggestions

Default switch lock switch not at that link. Probably dealer part only.

I found window switches, but not the window lock switch. Good luck!

Default Duralst 48D for the battery from Autozone perfect fit.. Also the switch can be fixed

... I fixed it by taking it apart and it worked good.. there is a small spring mechanism which comes off... and breaks... I rigged in a Radioshack switch and soldered the points and for $3 and it works great.. or you can buy the complete assembly from ebay.. Two links below...
These switches from Hong Kong work well.. STFA and you will see many people happy with them.. The part from Dealer is about $90 otherwise..

Do you have any pics of the switch repair? Sounds like a cheap/easy fix!

Default Sorry no pics.. but

Below is the switch I used... works great.. it has 3 connections and so does the original Audi one...
Removed the mechanics of the old switch
I drilled a hole in the PCB and mounted this switch there and then just soldered some wires... there is enough space under the switch in the armrest to accommodate it.. Then I retrofitted the top of the original switch on this radioshack switch.. the only difference is that it does not stay at the bottom when locked in but comes up.. but the light indicator of its position works correctly if you solder all the 3 wires correctly...<ul><li><a href="http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062542&amp;cp=&amp;pg=4&amp;s r=1&amp;origkw=switch&amp;kw=switch&amp;parentPage =search">http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062542&amp;cp=&amp;pg=4&amp;s r=1&am
