Default instructions for headlights w/o running lights

first off i hope this is the same for everyones car and it would be wise to check before you start snipping wires! at any rate on heres how i did it. i yanked that pesky connector off the headlights and turned on my running lights and a blinker and started testing voltages. #9 was constant 12v (which i assume is the running light supply). #7 however was a range between ~1v and ~10v which seemed to be the blinker...

i cut #7 and the result is that you can have headlights fog lights etc w/o ever having running lights. you can also use that running lights position on the headlight switch just to have dash lights.

enjoy!

Default I guess this means you don't have the option of driving with just the running lights on?

Like in the parking lot or a parking structure?

Also, when the parking lights/running lights are activated via the switch, do the rear tailights still come on?
