Default I am totally baffled at how you've let this play out - despite suggestions from everyone...

It obviously was a bad situation - but once you knew that you've allowed it to escalate to what appears to be a ridicluous level.,, with no plan in place to get resolution.

Spend less time posting and more time solving and you might get your car back together - without spending a ton....

Get a lawyer -

Call the BBB / AG and others...

Get all the backup in writing you can from techs/ other shops / ZF etc on what really needed to be done.

Line up a solid indy shop to inspect the car as is - and write up both what they've found, and what it'll take to fix it.... as well as a diagonise of the initial problem if possible...

make sure anything you do is in writing... you have a solid basis for claim there...

IF you pay - do it on CC so you can dispute....(last ditch method but might be the only way..)

You appear to be letting this guy run the show and control things - if you can't get control back find someone who can, or create a method to dispute the charges once you have the car in possesion again...

It truly is painful to hear of the whole thing - but almost as painful to listen to how it's played out...

best of luck !

Have you asked your parents' permission to even consider the RS6 yet?

Default Unless they are willing to pay for it, you are the one on the hook....

Sueing won't get you anywhere until you can prove/ detail waht went wrong and the timeline....with backup...

Better to resolve the problem - get the car out of there and running - then fight a legal battle if needed... but first try to enlist the parties in your state that are theoretically looking out for consumers like you....

I certainly hope it works out, but it seems a painful path....

best of luck.
