![]() Here is a partial view of the inside of the problematic suction/jet pump. The straight connection on the left comes from the brake booster. The connection on the right goes to the manifold (vac source). The branch comes from the junction can for the breather system. The two orange circles are rubber diaphram check valves. Vacuum pulls through two paths. One straight through and the other through the venturi side. The venturi side pulls vacuum from the branch trading velocity for vacuum level (? why ?). So here it is. WTF, mates. Keep in mind that this animal only exists on certain models (Tips 2000, and I forget how far beyond).

system while the larger bore side stays operational and keeps pulling from the brake booster as required.
The two halves are isolated completely from each other, and there are plenty of small clearances on the branch side to get gummed up. I'd still like to figure out if I can just eliminate this puppy and connect the can directly to the manifold.
