Default ac fan and compressor stay on??? on 2000 a6

does any one know why my ac compressor and fan wont turn off, even if my temperature is set to HI? this happens when i turn on my climate control ofcoarse when i run the vag com on it ti shows no errors.

hmmm, you might be right. on a 99 that i had i never had that problem, the ac compressor& fan only came on when i had the temp set at low degrees?now even at HI which is supposed to be full heat , why would the compressor be on?

Default The compressor will act as a dehumidifier and stop the windows from fogging...

Default this is not my front defrost that i am refering to. just period

i dont know, this is new to me. this is my forth audi. you might tbe right i probably never realized it? maybe that model year? i have a s8 also and it doesnt behave like that. and i also had a 99 2.8, and 00 4.2 and ditto. this one that i have now must of been built on a day that those people didnt want to work lol.

Default Unless you push the econ button the A/C is always on.

My wife's Lexus, my last BMW 740 and my daughter's new A4 all work the same way. They all have some way to turn off the A/C but it is normally always on.

Default Hijack, how do you like the APR? Do you have EMCS or a replacement ECU?
