Default Many thanks to all with HID headlamp help!

Well over a grand later I have my HID headlamp assemblies installed and aimed. Well worth the $$$$. Cutoff seems much sharper than the HID on the Maxima that I had but I guess that's the difference between Audi's ellipsoid projector and Maxima's parabolic/free-form reflector.

Default Congrats Ben! This makes you the 4th from this forum to do this mod..

..myself, Sarian Varconia (sp) and TraderAlex (using allroad HID housings) are the others.

$1000 is worth the price for the added visibility. You will notice more visibility on the road (specifically on the right hand side of the car). If you drive through wooded streets, this will be a major advantage for you.

See this site more good info. If you check under the OEM HID database, you will see a picture of my Avant "car in mist".

If you have and extra $100 laying around, you might want to pick up a set of extra HID bulbs (Phillips D2S are preferred). They rarely burn out but, if they do, the dealer will charge you $200 each plus labor. You can find them on ebay for $80-$100. Make sure that you buy a matched set with equal "burn time" on each.

Congrats!!
