Here is what I have donw to my 1000 mile 2001 A6 2.8 30 v
1. ASE chip 12 hp (New Company from Europe) 2. Full Cat Back Exhaust 8 h.p. with Super Sprint resonators and mufflers 3. Same Muffler Shop Put on K & N Intake ( I said K & N didn't make one He said no problem. Took 45 min 23 H.P. 4. Eibach Loweing Springs 5. Bilstein Shocks 6. Toyo Prozes Z4 245 45 18" Tires 7. Axes 18" Dark Gray Wheels This car now dynos at 243 and weighs less then a bi turbo and 4.2 by 350 lbs. The only problem I am having is with the chip. Feels like it is over timed and the tranny is shifting prematurly. They are going to give me a free tiptronic chip upgrade P.S. Wife made me sell my 2000 Jaguar XJR which I gladly did and I gave the huge payment book back to the bank. The A6 is a good car for the money |

243 isn't bad out of a 2.8 at all... how about some 0-60 and 1/4 times? Are you planning on doing anything to the braking system? Is your car a Frontrak or Quattro?
How about some... photos? Are those Axis Se7en wheels you're talking about? Would be nice to see...

The K & N intake is a cone filter I am guessing?
That gave you 23hp? alot more than I would think! Do you have a heatsheild, or anything preventing the heat from the engine bay from getting sucked in?

then let 40 potential HP fall by the way side with poor exhaust and intake design? What were your actual dyno numbers and how did you correct for drivetrain losses?

No need to be mean about his post,
maybe he got a bad test done, or he might not be measuring the output from the wheels. You could ask about the details of his intake/dyno ya know?
