Default Last week I posted ideas for installing a removable front plate on a RS4 bumper. Hack DIY inside.

(I bought rare earth magnets and was going to go down that route, but it would have been a pain. After you remove the bumper, you still would need to remove the entire aluminum bumper frame to get to the back side of the plastic bumper cover.)

Get some 2 inch aluminum L-bracket stock. and cut some slots in it.

Enter flamesuit and prepare for Coors Light heckles. Oh yeah, and the sponges are for the kids. Please. Bend aluminum slightly so it matches the bumper curve.

Glue the bracket to the license plate and add velcro.

Add some velcro to the underside of the RS4 bumper and slap on when needed. Holds on well in rain and freeway speeds.

Go wash up and admire your garage's man bathroom.

Default Are you concerned about the plate rubbing up against the finish on the front of the bumper?

Default Oh yeah, I actually put some velcro (loop side) on the back of the plate to prevent scratching.

Default Ah, nice. Seems like an easier alternative to the magnets.

Default Me too....

When we remodeled some of the house, the half bath in the garage had to go due to space. So I said, do we have enough room for a urinal?

There has not been one man that has seen it that hasn't been stoked on it. I will know if I have a ghey man in my garage when I hear the question, "Why did you put that in?"

Default It was actually someone else's idea from my poll post last week.

Yeah, Powell is local to us. I've actually never owned a Forum board, but they are sick. I'm kinda partial to Lib Techs myself. Been stuck on those for about 10 years now.
