Evolution Racewerks IC's installed. (long)...
Had a chance to make it down to WMS on Saturday to have my ER IC's installed.
Although my intentions were to do some before and after logs to compare my current AWE IC's to the ER IC's, we weren't able to due to time constraints.
After my 80 mile trek from Riverside I arrived at WMS with car well warmed up and IC's heat soaked. luckely the data techs were set up and ready to go.
Although my AWE IC'e were heat soaked, the recovery time was rather rapid: indication of a very efficient IC.
Ambient temps were around 85-87 degrees and humidity was unknown. I had a 1/2 tank of 50/50 mix of 109/91 fuel left over from GI, so we just finished that off.
As noted, the first thing we noticed was the rapid recovery time for the AWE IC's even in traffic. Although it was difficult to time an open lane to get a full 3rd gear pull we managed to get two good ones from 2800-7000rpm, and a really good one from 2500-7000rpm with a 4th gear shift at 7k.
The initial pulls revealed other issues going on that needed to be addressed, such as a bad o2 sensor and some fuel/timing issues. After some adjustments were made we were able to get some beter data on the 3rd pull. (data available soon)
After letting the car cool off for a while we started to dig into the car: removing the front bumper and AWE IC's.
Upon inspection of the ER IC's my initial thoughts questioned fitment issues due to the massive size (see photo below), but believe it or not, they fit in almost the same space as the AWE IC's with only minor additional trimming.
We did a pre fitment to see if there would be any bumper clearance, or belly pan issues, but every thing snapped in just fine with no bumper trimming at all.
As mentioned above, due to time constraints, we were not able to do any post logging because the loggers had left, but we will continue soon on a day with similar conditions.
One caveat, although only minor trimming was required in addition to AWE trim spec, if installing these from the git, it won't hurt to trim as much back as possible. as long as you keep all your support mounting points.

AC hose clearance. Another caveat, by jacking up the passenger side of the car and putting the nose into a semi-service position you can slip the IC in and out with ease from underneath rather than trying to muscle it in from the side.

Man those do look nice, .. can't wait for test information and what you learned about the AWE's
are what many have found to be the case, while they still may look like shadetree IC's, not something produced by a larger tuner, they do seem to recover and perform very very well!

Nice ICs Max
I was hoping to stick around to see these bad boys but you were away doing more logs with Anthony. I hope your friend knows the huge steal he got with those AWEs. I look forward to seeing some real logs since I am looking to pull the trigger on new ICs soon too. I also sent Anthony the logs we took of your car on the way to lunch.

Mike, will these fit a tip? If so, put me down for a set.
I dont need those fancy CF shrouds just some better ICs. Also, do you think you can install IC misters at the same time? Water injection is likely much more effective but I dont want to have more programming performed.
