I haven't logged on in weeks, and this is what I read when I do; it sort of knocked the wind out me.

To his friends and family, I would like to say that my thoughts are with you. Though Matt and I chatted only occasionally via email, our talks of car and motorcycle-related matters were always interesting.

I met Matt at an Audi gathering in Rockville, Maryland--we both showed up on motorcycles. After that, he invited me riding. Certainly he was a skilled rider, but it was his interest in a fun and safe riding experience that made me so comfortable with him as a riding partner.
