First - many thanks to SAC-CA-S4 and Funkweasel for all the top quality work you have done on my car. You guys rock!
Overall, I'm pretty happy with it ... Compared to my previous AMS stage 3- setup, the car is way faster (comparable to Sac's AWE Stage 3). Startup idle is rougher, but settles down after 7-10 seconds. Also, with AMS I had twitchy throttle response with 3/4 throttle being faster than WOT. With ASP, the response is much smoother and WOT is WOT. Also, the X-1 has really come alive - I never used to hear it at all, now it sounds like Darth Vader after a serious cardio workout. The only bad thing is the car is still running lean with not so good timing even at +20% on the primary fuel. We might try 25% to see where that gets us. Anyway, Funk and Mark plan to discuss so we can work out a good game plan going forward. I'll make sure we share all the good info for those who care.

lowers your MAF readings. IIRC from what i've seen, ASP kit likes to see over 280 G's on the MAF reading...and more likely over 300g's. You are getting Nowhere near that with X1. I'm betting you see about 220-230 G's MAX? This happened while running X-1 on my AWE kit. I believe it is the connecting tubing, either being too straight or so for the MAF. Do you have any logs (FATs, Timing, Arflow, O2's, Etc.)?

The MAF readings are substantially different than they would be with an airbox so the tuning must account for that.
With AWE Stg 3 airbox code, adding +25% was just barely enough to keep the car from running lean at WOT. More would have been preferrable. -Dave Pramanik |

but the airflow is NOT hitting (being read) by the MAF sensor. A "flow straightener" will help imho.....bring MAF readings up, as will using a "smaller" connecting pipe to the MAF housing

ASP fueling likes to see 300+ G's? If any ASP Stage 3 guys could chime in?
