Default just got back from mustang dyno, 93 octane

They did two pulls then said the redline boost was only 12 psi. WTF? I know it holds 20psi to redline on the road. The fans were not pointing at the ICs at all. I touched the top of the driver side IC and nearly burned my finger. We let the car sit until the IC was cool to the touch before doing the third pull.

It was my fault because I was too busy talking to the guy behind me. He had a black '01 porsche turbo. It had K24 turbos, aftermarket exhaust and custom intake piping. He said he dynoed around 600whp at two other dynos and was disappointed with his results. He ended up with something like 530rwhp. BTW, he had it modified so it was permanently rear drive. The front axles were removed and something was capped off, etc.

After the dyno pulls I got a ride in his P-car. All I can say is.. that car is FAST! His license plate says something like "10sectt". He said it trapped at 137mph..

I couldn't remember which programs I had on each slot. I'll go back with 100 octane the next time, then do a pull on the stock program to get a reference for this mustang dyno.

By the looks of this dyno something major is wrong with my car. Then again, I was so busy talking about the porsche I didn't realize they did not give me a printout for all three pulls. I have no idea which one this is. Either way, after riding in the porsche my car felt VERY slow on the ride home.

PSA: Keep focused on what they're doing with YOUR car when you pay $75 for dyno pulls.

Default If and when I get it to log without dropping data:)

I'm pretty sure ecux would run if I cut the number of channels. The question is which 10 or so channels are most important to log? Timing, boost, O2's, RPMs, etc. I spoke with a guy at the dyno today about selling him my spare ball bearing turbo. That money will go into my "buy a new dell laptop that will run ecux" fund.

Default The problem with Mustang dynos is that they are owner calibrated and

that is the reason their numbers are all over the place.

Default By the 10.5:1 AF it looks like it's dumping fuel...consistent with poor fannage on the ICs ;-)

Default And that results in 12psi at redline how?

Eric, you're slipping!

Turn the fans off on the almighty Maha, and tell me what results you see.

Default Have you tried reducing the data rate? From the last file of yours that I saw, 7-1-2006

I'd drop the BaroPressure, AcceleratorPedalPositon, EngineLoadSpecified, EngineLoadCorrectedSpecified, EGTBank1, EGTBank2. Drive around the block logging the remaining variables for a couple minutes and then see if you're still dropping data.

If you are, try removing Gear, EngineLoad, BoostFrequencyValveDutyCycle.

If I were you I'd keep dropping variables until I found how many I could log without dropping data. Then you can decide what variables you want to include.
