Default As zippy (Jeff) said, check your fuses... that's a bizarre problem man.

Default Also all the engine/ecu grounds...

As I remember, his Stg3 installers weren't the sharpest tools in the shed.

Default Yea, it doesn't seem all that bad...

I wouldn't fret too much, even though you seem to enjoy the act of fretting.

Default just a lot of little stuff that's adding up..

then put relationship problems in the mix and even the smallest things turn into big issues.

There's no room for problems anymore. I'm just trying to focus on what's really important in my life and fwiw, it ain't this car.

Default Yea, I hear ya...

Luckily my Wife is very tolerant of my car crap... The S4 is only half the story, I have 1.5 RX7's on my property too. Yes, .5, I have a japanese front-clip.

Anyhow, now I'm in the middle of an engine pull to replace the clutch on my S4. No biggie for me, I can pull it off in a day or two... less than a day if Uli can lend a hand. So, now I have an S4 that's puked its innards out in the garage so I can swap the clutch, and RX7 parts spewed everywhere... oh, 2 spare S4 engines too, lol.

She drives the A3, so no problems for her, heh.

Default Check for 12 volts at 2 wire outputs. Check for a 5 volt wire at 3+ wire inputs except o2 sensors.

If you have 12 volts at say the N75, but no 5 volts at any of the inputs(throttle position is where I like to start) then VREF (the 5 volt circuit) is shorted either by a sensor or a wire itself. Also like jprice said, observe the cel. If it comes on then you have power to the ecu and something in it is still alive even though it won't communicate with a network.
