I have been putting off the install because the last time I swapped the mounts I went through enough hell to wonder if I was Judas, betrayer of Christ in a previous life.
Too bad I fell sucker for the ECS "OEM RS4" mounts at that time. I finally got sick of the popping, clanging, and bumping, of my OMG GENUINE RS4 MOUNTS!!1 and decided to suck it up. This time it took me about an hour per side. I must say, I am impressed. NVH is minimal compared to what I was expecting. There is a little additional vibration at idle, most of it felt through the steering wheel, but again, it's far less than what I've experienced in most American cars You're just "aware" of the "presence" of a running engine in the car.But any NVH is totally offset by the fact that when you stab the throttle, the car responds instantly and accelerates. It doesn't lift the drivetrain up 6 inches and then accelerate, and then clunk when you lift. Shifting is so much more pleasurable (I installed my ASP TSB and REAL RS4 trans mounts yesterday). Matched-rev downshifts feel much more accurate. All in all, it may not be everybody's cup of tea, but I consider the S4 drivetrain rodeo business worse NVH than a little vibration. At cruise, I didn't notice any additioanl NVH. Anyways, if I knew this the first time around, I would have ponied up the extra green the first time instead of learning the hard way.

The car has always run great and I've never had the need for one, so it's been low on the priority list.
The recto-dyno didn't discern any difference in performance, but it's been known to lie before. These mounts I installed DO have some type of polymer isolation, so I doubt there would be any false knock as a result.

Despite my expectations for at least one bent wheel by now.

Most of these are with the smaller toyos. The new KDW2's are a tad wider.
