Default I'm trying to troubleshoot long distance.

I did not suggest to clear the codes as a possible remedy. As I stated in my e-mail to you, I asked you to clear the codes to see if clearing the adaptation would change anything. That would help me narrow in on a possible cause and a course of action.

And adding the 100 octane is not something I asked you to do at this time...

Please bear in mind that troubleshooting cold start is tough as there is limited sensor feedback during that time, and so much time has to elapse before replicating the problem.

I see that there are quite a few people around the nation having this issue, but none locally from what I understand.

I am on a fact finding mission at this point, and it's going to take some time back and forth to narrow down a possible cause for this issue.

Default Different injectors, different file.

The new injectors run so much cleaner at idle and part throttle, that we now have to see if that is what is causing the cold start issues to remain in some cars, and if so, which way to go with the fueling.

Once we started to use the new injectors, so many of the idle and part throttle randomness from car to car went away that we thought we finally had found a cure to these anomolies.

Guess not, but I am confident that if we can pinpoint the culprit or culprits of this last issue, it will be an easy fix. Fixes for the last injectors took endless fine tuning...

Long distance sucks, and finding the right person to work with long distance sucks, too.

There are at least 10 people that have chimed in on this issue, so we'll figure out who is the best candidate to work with.

Default good to know - maybe it is something other than the injectors or the file?...

Default Therein lies the challenge.

There are lots of issues that could be causing this, but I am starting with fueling to determine/eliminate that as an issue. Cold start fueling variances can cause issues like this more than anything else, as cold air/fuel atomization is quite different than hot.

I suspect that it may be fuel quality related, as no one local seems to have the issue.
