Default Do I need new Pads and Rotors or do I need to go BBK?

I drive fast and take some nice corners with some speed when I go canyon driving. 10-30 min into the drive I can feel the brakes fade. It is to a point that I MUST slow down and let the system cool off a bit before I get on it again. I do this 1-2 times every 2 months.

I fade the stock brakes when I do some spirited canyon driving and so brake upgrade is something I am considering. I can't decide if I will be ok with better pads (PBR/Axxis Metal Master) and new rotors (DBA) or should I fork over the money and go BBK?

Some info:
As of now I need new pads and maybe rotors. I am planning on doing some track runs (1-2 a year) eventually.

Default ECS 2 piece w/ better pads (HP+ etc..) would suffice. A BBK although

it would solve that problem too, is overkill IMHO given your situation. I'd wait until you've done some track time before making the switch.

Default that's basically the same price. ECS rotors are stoopid $$$

Default if you're not tracking the car, just run slotted stock rotors and nice pads/fluid...

...don't waste money on nice OEM-size rotors, just run the cheap crap and replace as needed.

Spend the money on good pads, and do a good full fluid flush.

Skip the SS lines.

Default pads will take you a long way, but in the loonnng run a bbk is a better solution

why? consumable costs.

high end (read: trackable) pads for the HP2 caliper are quite expensive. so are OE rotors. the cost of consumables for a quality BBK (stoptech or like) can be quite substantial after a while. and on top of this a good BBK will deliver better results anyhow, and all the sudden a BBK starts to make more and more sense.

Default well it depends on whether you buy everything used or not, if you have limits on how

much you can fork out now, etc. etc. Of course long term a BBK is a better choice, but not everyone has 2k sitting around for one.

Default i have no first hand experience, but the Carbotech's that Pure Motorsport sells seem to be ok...

...For full blown track, I think you can get a Pagid Black (RS14). Rear's you have lots of options, I run Ferodo DS2500.

I think you can get a Pagid 4-4 Orange for the front, that'd be a good pad.
