Default to those who painted your stock Y-pipe - how did you prep it?

i'm thinking of sanding it down then using a high-temp primer?

Default supposed to be nice this weekend - all i need is sandpaper. and paint. and new clamps for the Y-pipe

hoses.

Default rough it up and make sure it is clean after......

you could use build up primer then sand it before painting to make is smoooooooth

Default I just used some 400grit paper to get the crap off of it (dirt/oil/etc), then I cleaned it with

some alcohol to get it nice and clean. I primered mine gray to go with my med. charcoal(that's the name of the paint), then cleared it with a high temp engine clearcoat. Look in pic poster to see result.
