well the Bentley, or maybe it was ETKA showed it only for the 2.8 I thought which was below the drivers side head in front . . .

one and can't figure out where it goes.
It doesn't help ETKA calls the other sensor a level sensor.

and searched for it,,, nothing. I guess Matt is right? I have one of those sensors as well (bottom of the pan) I guess I could try it, but I'm not due for an oil change for another 4000 miles. (and for a 2000 with 33k that could be a very long time)

It variates between the temp, and a few other characteristics, and has a lot to do with the service interval on the instrument cluster. Doesn't operate the same as the single wire VDO oil temp sensor, as the S4 sensor doesn't operate my '97 cluster's oil temp gauge.
