Default One more brake question / comparison...

I'm looking at the AWE DBA slotted rotors or the Zimmerman sport cross drilled. From what I understand the slotted is prefered but if the Zimmerman rotor is good I would consider it. What do you think?

Default Crossdrilled known to crack under HEAVY use...like at the track...

Are you switching pads, too?

Many people are very happy with their OEM rotors too. What is your planned use?

Also, there is a ton in the archives on slotted vs. crossdrilled.

Default I don't track my car. I drive agressively to work when I can, I drive down a two lane canyon...

road. I am changing pads. I'm going with the Axxis Ultimates.

Default Still, I'd skip the cross-drilled and go for slotted or blank. Also, Axxis Ultimates aren't great

from what people here say.

Default I've gotten mixed reviews for pads. It's those or the Hawk HPS and frankly I found...

a hell of a deal on the Axxis Ultimates.

Default check ECS rotors

I know a couple of folks who have them and really like them. although their 2-piece rotors get way up there in price. Their normal slotted rotors aren't bad in price.

I see in this post you decided on Axxis Ultimates because of price. Having used both those and the Hawk HPS, IMO you won't see a hill of beans worth of difference with plain 'ol aggressive daily driving.
