Default Stoptech Q - Thinking about picking up a new set of ST 332's. Thoughts on the Zinc coating?

I live in NJ, but I'm not sure I like the gold rotors, but if it'll be an advantage in durability, I'd consider it. Also anyone have any deals out there on the kit? E-mail me if you can't post please

"StopTech now offers an anti-corrosion gold zinc coating for all AeroRotors. The coating benefits customers who live in cold climates where snow and road salt are commonly encountered, and customers who would prefer to not have visible surface rust on the vanes and outer circumference of their rotors. Zinc coating does not have a negative environmental impact like other coatings. Gold zinc coating costs $70 per axle extra."

Default The visible rust on those is so small. After a wash on the rotor surface and on the outer rim of

the disc is about it. The hat is the main problem on brake rotors and with a 2piece rotor, you're not going to have that problem.

Default But it makes sense doesn't it? I'm pretty sure Stoptech would't sell you a bum option.

They're a company that invests a lot of time/money in R&D. Respectable company.

Default Can't really see it on the vanes. If you get x-drilled you'll have rusty holes/slots.

Default Lets see...rotors get thinner from wear over time, therefore any coating is the first to go. Skip.
