Default Is it true that putting in a LWFW will make you lose low end tq?

and if so, what are the benefits? (aside from weight)

Default I makes the car rev faster. It will also free up a couple hp.

Default If it's too light you will loose some low end torque:-/

Default I've got one, it's good. My car makes some suprising grunt at 1100 rpm.

I sometimes find myself with the clutch fully engaged in first gear by 1100 rpm. I am suprised at how hard the car pulls.
Yes, I know I'm going to destroy my car by lugging the engine

Default The whole "lugging the engine" thing ended with British farm tractors. :-p

I often run them as low as they go. Sometimes even with full throttle. :-)
