Default suggestions for removing the 8mm allen bolt on the drivers side turbo?

The one that is tucked back in there. I cant get to it with a gun b/c the universal wont quite fit. all the rest came out fine with a gun and some blowtorching. Should i grind down the allen to shorten it so that I can get the universal on it?

thanks for any advice

Default Do you have a ball tip allen, or standard straight cut ones?

Default both, and 3/8" socketed

I can get a normal L shaped wrench on it, i just cant break it with it. it was deforming the tip with the torque.

Default Cut a 1.5" 8mm length off a bar and use a socket with it to fit down in there. Use

lots of liquid wrench or some heat as before. Those cheesehead bolts are tough to break.

Default Just do what you were doing but use a ball-end allen...

You may want to hit the threads on the turbine housing with the torch for a while to loosen it up. I sometimes use an allen wrench with a long 3/8 extension/socket as a lever.

I've had a couple strip and they had to meet the angle-grinder. So, worse comes to worst it's no biggie.
