Prior links for anyone curious:
11/26/05: My Cylinder#1 spark plug hole is now stripped - How would you fix/address this? (more) 12/27/05: Prep work is about done for the engine pull ... moving along nicely .... 1/2/06: Engine pulled, head removed, guts moved to new head, coolant pump swapped... 1/3/06: Rotated cams to confirm proper alignment; torqued cam bearing bolts; installed head gasket, head, head bolts, rubber gaskets, valve cover, spark plugs (proper torque), and coil packs 1/9/06: Reconnected Exhaust and Intake manifolds with new gaskets, coolant hard line, and some misc connections. Passenger Turbo (81k miles) shows signs of damage and also has notable shaft wobble (attempt to measure showed ~0.3mm) 1/15/06: Reconnected timing belt, swapped in the new breather hose, installed fuel rail, changed the other 3 plugs (1 wrong one sent), pulled tranny & changed clutch disc, reinstalled engine & then found out one engine mount is bad (lower threaded bolt just spins). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

why did you change the breather hose? Was it bad or was it some kind of upgrade?

Then I would guess the blot has come adrift on the inside of the cup.
If you can get it tight then I would think it would still work -- at least for now. What I would suggest is getting two more nuts. Putting them on the end of the shaft. Tightening them together. Then use that to hold the shaft stationary while you tighten the third bolt. You can then just leave those bolts in place to help you when it comes time to remove it. That probably makes more sense than swapping out the engine mount now that it is in the car. You can do that later when it goes again or when you have another reason to pull the engine. :-p Stephen |

Like davenew suggested, look into the stasis mounts. I haven't seen too much info on them, but with the amount of power you are pushing and with your drag events I think it might be a good investment (so long as it doesn't increase vibration too much). It might not save you too much money, but it will save you a big headache if you happen to break them again. Looks like you are getting close to being done so my fingers are crossed for ya when you go to fire up the car :-) Good luck
