I have a 2002 S4 with 42k on it and the; wheel bolts, tie rod ends, and other various supsension pieces are rusted through. To the point that the car can't be alligned properly. Called up the locall dealer "those are wear items and not covered". Also my CV boots more then likely need replacement as the clicking has begun. THose are wear items also and aparently they are 675$ to replace. Well now I have to hope that my car was purchased after febuary so that I will still be under the original warranty, otherwise Wicked here I come

boot failure (wear item) then leading to a bad joint is not.
Rust is a upkeep issue, not manufacturing flaw. Sorry.

To date, it's fixed:
Various random belts & tensioners Failing display unit Rear view mirror Leaky rear diff Lumbar adjustor Sunroof switch It will also soon be fixing: Cam shaft tensioner But what you're talking about isn't covered. Take it to an independent mechanic like Wicked.
