![]() I've had them on my A4, now have them on the S4 and am not sure I really like them. I can't seem to get the brakes as firm as I would like, even in comparison to the 01.5 1.8T we have, those brakes stock feel firmer than my S4s. Any thoughts?

I did two thourough bleeds, with ABS pump cycling. I have new pads, new rotors, plenty of bedding done... curses!

I have ECS slotted/drilled rotors and I need to bed the pads every few months. They are the PBR/Axxiss Metalmaster pads. There is vibration in rotors under light pedal pressure. Then a good pad bedding session pretty much sets the rotors back nicely and I'm OK for another few months. I have never had to bed like this with any other rotor/pad combination and I have run these pads on other rotors before.

the brakes simply can't take the abuse at the track.
I used slotted rotors, SS lines, Motul fluid, track pads, and I still was able to get them to fail. if you never see the track, stock brakes are plenty suitable. |

and friction wears the rotors away.

Like I said I just drove my parent's 1.8T Avant and those brakes feel so much more positive than the ones on my S4.
I am running bobcat brakes FYI, and am thinking I want a more assertive pad. I also run Motul RBF600 fluid. Guess I could get SS lines, but I'm not sure how much those help... I had a leukwarm experience with my A4, so.
